Usaha kesehatan gigi sekolah (UKGS) is a program to improve the dental and oral
health of school-age children by dividing 3 stages for development to elementary
school but the dental and oral health problems of 12-year-old students are still high
and in Cimahi City there is no data on dental and oral health knowledge. This study
aims to find out the level of knowledge of dental and oral health of students aged
12 years of primary school assisted by UKGS stage 1, 2, and 3 in Cimahi City. The
subject of this study was a 12-year-old elementary school student (grade 6) in
Cimahi City. This study used questionnaires in the form of g-form distributed to
elementary school students assisted by UKGS stage 1 (SD Hikmah Teladan), stage
2 (SDN Cibodas 2), and stage 3 (SDN Karangmekar Mandiri 1). Of the 153 students
selected are divided from UKGS stage 1 (31 students), stage 2 (38 students), and
stage 3 (84 students). The level of dental and oral health knowledge of UKGS stage
1 as much as 77.4% in the good category, 65.8% of UKGS phase 2 students'
knowledge in the good category and UKGS phase 3 as much as 77.4% in the good
category. The results showed the knowledge of UKGS primary school students
phase 1, 2, and 3 in good category so that this UKGS program can affect the dental
and oral health knowledge of UKGS students stage 1, 2, and 3.
