Difficulty in dealing with pediatric patients is not only about the treatment but also how to deal with emotional disorders that are different for each other. Anxiety and fear are the emotions most often felt by children during treatment and this is a problem that causes children to often delayed dental treatment and worried the patient's oral health level to get worse and increase the child's fear of seeking treatment to the dentist. In treating pediatric patients, dentists need a cooperative because cooperative behavior is the key to success in providing care by regulating children's behavior during dental treatment so that an effective method is needed with several applications that can provide strategies such as behavior management. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of behavior management methods in dealing with pediatric patient anxiety during dental treatment. This research is a systematic review which is narrative review carried out by looking for literature studies on some literature as a reference and analyzing the findings obtained with a sample of 7 articles and then analyzing the literature according to a predetermined theme. The literature used is taken from articles published in the database and the results of the analysis obtained are written in a report in the form of a synthesis matrix. The conclusion in this study is tell show do and sedation techniques can reduce anxiety in children because there is a decrease pulse rate in patients who feel anxious but the tell show do technique will be more effective in reducing anxiety when combined with other techniques such as modeling techniques or audiovisual distraction.
