Efektivitas Pemberian Gel Ekstrak Nanas Subang (Ananas comosus (L) Merr.) terhadap Penyembuhan Luka Sayat Mukosa Oral Tikus Galur Wistar
Wounds are a responsive condition with continuous damage to normal anatomical tissues, structures, and functions due to pathological processes originating from the internal and external environment. Pineapple contains many active substances such as vitamin C, polyphenols, bromelain enzymes, saponins, and alkaloids which are influential in wound healing. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Subang pineapple (Ananas comosus (L) Merr.) Extract gel on the healing of oral mucosal wounds of Wistar rats. The research method was purely experimental by using experimental animals as many as 25 randomly selected male Wistar rats which were divided into 5 groups. Group I was the oral mucosa of the rats was not subjected to incisions, group II was not treated with incisions, group III was smeared with povidone-iodine, group IV was smeared with aloclaire gel, and group V was smeared with 20% concentration of pineapple extract gel. The incision was carried out on the oral mucosa of the buccal rats along 1 cm with a depth of 1 mm. The length measurement was carried out using a periodontal probe, while the depth was marked with a scalpel instrument along 1 mm. Rubbing and wound healing was carried out for 14 days. Data from each group were analyzed using the normality test and one-way ANOVA test. The data analysis showed that the control group and the treatment group showed that the treatment had evidence that showed a significance value of p = 0.000 or p- values
